From Split: 14 days

1° Day

splitSailing from Split towards south, you can make a short break at Soline, one of the most protected south bays, or to the island of S. Clement, less visited by tourists and more beautiful.

2° Day

A long route from Hvar to Korcula; therefore we recommend a short break to the island of Scedro. There are two bays on the north coast of the island, rather popular among boaters: Lovisce bay, exposed to Bora, where you should tie up the boat to the shore, because the anchor will not hold good, and Manastir, more protected and pleasant bay. On the south coast, you will find three moorings, not frequently visited, offering a good shelter from Mistral and Bora. However, these moorings are exposed to south winds.

3° Day

Korcula island – also the name of the main town of the island. ACI marina Korcula offers many mooring possibilities. Pay attention to the ferries. As an alternative, we recommend Luka and Banja, more quiet places near Korcula.

korcula

4° Day

Zuljana – a quiet village with a pier for brthing in the inner side. Pay attention to the Mistral and Bora. As an alternative, you can go to Trstenik, protected from all winds, except from Scirocco.

5° Day

peljesac
From Zuljana towards east, along the coast of Peljesac peninsula, until you reach a beautiful archipelago of Elafiti Islands – a small group of island off the coast of Dubrovnik. The first break can be at Sipanska Luka (the best mooring is with a stern towards the quay). With the Mistral, you should consider a mooring in front of Sudjuradj, on the other side of the island.

6° Day e 7° Day

From Sipan to Dubrovnik – short route. You can make a break at Sunj, a beautiful inlet on the south coast of the island of Lopud. Upon arrival to Dubrovnik, the best solution is to anchor in the ACI marina. Mooring at Gruz is not the ideal choice because of too many boats and dense traffic close to the quay. You should not miss a visit to Dubrovnik, however, you need to stay at least two days there.

8° Day

Sailing from Dubrovnik towards Mljet, we recommend a mooring at a pleasant bay of Saplunara. The best mooring place is at the north-west corner with many mooring buoys. You will find a charming inlet, towards east, precisely between the cape Blaca and the cape Gruj, easily reachable with a tender. A beautiful sandy beach is a perfect place for all those in search for tranquility..

dubrovnik

9° Day

Route to Pomena (Mljet island), exposed only to north winds. There you will find many mooring possibilities with mooring buoys. If you don’t find a berth at Pomena, we suggest another spacious and protected port – Polace. It is only exposed to Scirocco wind which can be dangerous with force 7. In that case, you should anchor on the south side of quays. Polace is a perfect starting point to visit the lakes (you can take a bus, or simply follow the path that will take you directly to the lakes).

10° Day

MljetSailing from Mljet along the channel of Peljesac peninsula. Here there are many places worth visiting; Loviste, Raciste, Kneza bay, and others.

11° Day

Sailing towards Scedro island and the bay of Manastir. Though exposed to north winds, the bay is well protected from south winds. Do not miss the tavern on a small pier, equipped with mooring buoys for boats. However, pay attention to the depth (less than 1.5 m).

12° Day

Sailing towards the island of Hvar. The port of Hvar (also the main town of the island) is exposed to south winds. You can anchor anywhere, but pay attention to the ferries. Here the anchor will hold good. It will be difficult to find a berth, because many boaters stop over to the port. In that case, the best solution is ACI marina Palmizana, on the island of S. Clement.

hvar

13° Day

Heading to Solta, with a short break at Gornja Krusica, a pleasant inlet with many mooring possibilities. Since there are no equipped ports, you can just drop the anchor there (5 m deep). The place is exposed to Bora and Scirocco winds, that may be dangerous, if strong.

14° Day

Mooring at Stipanska (Brac island) on the west side of the island. You need to drop the anchor in the middle of the bay and tie up the boat to the east shore. The bay provides a good shelter from all winds. Pay attention to the rocks on the west side of the bay. In late afternoon return to Split.
