From Split to Kornati: 7 days

1° Day

splitStarting from Spalato towards Necujam (Solta island) – 9 NM, to the most popular bay of the island. There are two inlets on the west side, while on the east you will find a village with a beautiful beach and a small pier (3 m deep), ideal for two or three boats.

2° Day

Follow the south coast of the island of Solta, towards the Krknjasi bay (island of Veli Drvenik), protected from the north winds and perfect for swimming. Then, continue to the bay of Rogoznica. You can anchor at the town quay (with stern towards the quay). Pay attention to the Mistral (northwesterly) and Libeccio (westerly or south-westerly) winds. Razanj is located on the south side of the bay, and it offers an interesting mooring possibility, though often occupied. Here, the Mistral can cause some difficulties. Higly recommended a route to the Marina Frapa – one of the most beautiful marinas in Croatia, equipped with all necessary facilities.

3° Day

Sailing towards the island of Zirje. Two bays on the southernmost corner of the island: Vela and Mala Stupica. Vela Stupica is about 15 NM away from Rogoznica. The bay offers a good shelter from all winds, except from Jugo (south wind).

4° Day

Route towards the National Park of Kornati, sailing from Zirje to Kurba Vela, one of the islands that belong to the archipelago. Sailing between the islands, pay attention to the rocks. Continue along the channel of Kornati, towards Ravni Zakan (there is a pier on the north, from 2 to 4 meters deep) and Kameni Zakan (on the south coast of the island you will find an inlet, protected from north winds). The best solution is lACI Marina Piskera. As an alternative you can go to the island of Lavsa, where you will find many mooring possibilities.

5° Day

kornati
Sailing through the Kornati Islands, a beautiful archipelago of particular colors and wonderful nature. The archipelago is one of the most spectacular sights of Croatia. Especially recommended Vrulja, a small village where you will find the office of the entrance to the National Park. There are some tavernas with a small pier and mooring buoys for the boats. You can anchor also in the middle of the bay.

6° Day

Heading towards Primosten, through the archipelago of Kornati, e passing by the islands of Kakan and Kaprije (with some beautiful spots for swimming). The bay of Kakan is exposed to Bora, while the island of Kaprije offers many mooring possibilities. Primosten is a picturesque village, placed on a small promontory. In summer, it is quite busy. You can anchor at the quay with mooring buoys.
