Mljet is one of the most beautiful and pleasant Dalmatian islands. Sailing to the east, you will find a beautiful bay of Saplunara, with a sandy beach. The best anchorage is to the north west edge of Saplunara, where you will find many buoys. East of Saplunara, there is a small inlet reachable only with a tender. There you will find a beautiful sandy beach, washed by warm turquoise waters.
The ideal starting point to visit the island of Mljet are Pomena, on the westernmost edge of the island of Mljet, and Polace. The port of Pomena is situated inside an inlet, well protected from the south, but rather exposed to the nort winds. You will find here many boat docking options with mooring buoys. Polace is a large natural harbour with perfect anchorage on quays in front of the restaurants. Polace is an excellent starting point to visit the park and the lakes.
Sailing Prozura and Okuklje, two fascinating and pleasant bays. Prozura is the best docking port on the north east side of the island, protected from all the winds, except from the western wind. Okuklje, located east of Prozura, is a nice place with a few tavernas rather popular among boaters. Both ports provide docks with mooring buoys. In case of bad weather, we recommend that you anchor at Okuklje.

Sailing from Mljet (through the channel of Mljet) towards the cape Rukavac, on the south east edge of Peljesac peninsula. You can make a short break in one of the small inlets to the east. As an alternative, you can find another interesting anchorage: a channel that separates the islet of Minjak and the island of Sipan. You can choose a deep inlet of Sipanska luka as well. In case of bad weather (Mistral), it is recommended that you anchor in the port of Sudjuradj, on the southern side.
Sailing towards the bay of Sunj, with sandy bottom, on the southern coast of Lopud. The bay is exposed only to the south wind. Sunj is ideal to practice snorkeling and fishing sports. In high season, the buoys restrict the area reserved for swimmers. There are few boats anchored in the port early in the morning, so it is easy to find a berth. In late afternoon return to Dubrovnik.
